The blankets turned out well. But a word of warning; Work, Work, & more Work. Not that
they’re not worth it. But it involves a lot of cutting and snipping.  And it is very messy, with
a lot of threads all over the place.
I’m working on my baking for tomorrow’s tea at church. Yes, I almost always wait until the
last minute to do my baking. I’m just like that! My MIL has been working on hers all week.
I have been sneaking a peek at many of your site and Wow! Many of you have already got
your homes looking so pretty for Christmas. Now I’m itching to do mine. I’ve got one more
apron to do and then I’m free to decorate. I can’t wait!
Anyone got special plans for your weekend? Whatever you’re doing, be safe. I know some
of the Great Lakes areas really got hammered with bad weather. My sons been out for three
16 hour days again restoring power.
Have a good weekend-Kimberly

  1. You did a beautiful job on making those blankets. Wow!We had terrible winds and snow in parts of Utah, but… somehow we escaped it all. Very strange, because being up against the mountains, we usually get hammered.Hope your son stays safe, and that everyone that suffered damage with the storms is able to get things back on track.

  2. The blankets are lovely. Don't feel bad – I don't have the decorating done either. (Maybe its a Canadian thing?? Are we procrastinators??) Lol

  4. Love your blankets. Are they the flannel ones that you do several layers and cut the top on so it will chenille? I live near the great lakes and we had 6″ of snow on day and a trace amount last night. Calling for rain for the weekend so we will have mud again. I planned on getting our tree, so hope we can cut between rain drops. Have a lovely weekend:)

  5. Oh Kimberly they turned out just adorable! I am going to have to make one for a new baby my sister's daughter is having. They don't find out till the 20th of this month rather it is to be a boy or girl so I will wait. Not to mention no more BIG projects for me until after the holiday. But you have inspired me. I am going to make up a couple of quick aprons too, but I am going to decorate first! Have a wonderful week-end. HUGS

  12. I have been extremely busy and haven't been making the blog visit rounds lately. I'm glad I was able to stop by to see the pretty blankets. I'm sure they will be very much loved and used for a long time. Your talent is obvious as well as your patience. I normally don't do big projects because I never finish them. Yet you did three. All of them are very pretty.

  13. Blankets turned out darling. Yes, I know what a mess they are. I have made quite a few of these rag type quilts. There are some special scissors that make the cutting a bit easier. Still, my hand hurts by the time I am through. The kids are going to love them. Then Grandma will say, “It was all worth it!”

  14. Oh so pretty, they are going to love them! I am a bad Nana, I don't sew at all for them. Did all the time for our girls when they were growing up, clothes and Barbie clothes too but 3 grandson's and I haven't made a thing! My Aunt Joy used to really give me a hard time. I'm so busy these days I don't have time for all my favorite blogs, hope I get snowed in soon and then I'll have an excuse! We got our first snow this week.
