Together Again

Friday my Mother went home to be with the Lord and to join her beloved husband.
As many of you know my Father passed away on Dec. 10th and Mom wanted only to follow him quickly.
She woke my SIL at 4AM and they sat together holding hands. She said Mom looked over at my Dad’s empty bed and cryed, “Oh, Ed-Oh, Ed”. She would say this when she longed for Dad. As you can imagine, it just broke my heart to hear her cry out for him like this.
My Sil checked on her hourly as she slept, then at noon when she checked, she’d found she had passed.
I’m rejoicing that she is with the Lord and my Dad again, and that she went  peaceably.  I can’t thank the Lord enough for giving me such wonderful parents-I was truly blessed.
But my heart hurts to think of life without them…….

  1. Oh Kim I am soo sorry to hear of your loss…how hard it must be for you to lose them both so close together. And yet what a comfort to know they are together again rejoicing and dancing in the streets of heaven. My mom still struggles everyday as she longs for her husband she lost last June. How hard it is to grow old and lose your lifetime mate. I think your parents were very fortunate that they didn't have to spend much time apart.Praying you all draw comfort from our God in the days ahead.HUGS

  2. I am so sorry but so relieved she is back with your Dad. I am thankful she went like that. I can't imagine a worst torture than being here without my husband and she was with your Dad so many more years. I am thankful that they are finally at home with the Lord. I will be praying for you dear Kimberly. My Dad passed away in February and My Mom in December too but years ago, so I know how you look at those months from now on. You know that being absent from the body is present with the Lord. I always am comforted by those verses.

  6. Oh, Kimberly, how soon you embark on this grieving journey again. Your beloved mother is safely home and reunited with her husband. The Lord was with her every step of the way. He'll be there for you, too, as you go through this grieving season. I'm so sorry for the family's loss. It is certainly heaven's gain.

They died in their home, tended lovingly by their 6 children.Missed by their many grandhchildren & great-grandchildren. I know how hard this time is for you.My prayers for you & yours.

  13. So sorry for your loss. But grateful she passed peacefully in her sleep and that they are together again. I see how sad my Mom is now that my Dad is gone. She puts on a brave face for all of us, but she carries his picture with her everywhere, and she went and got him a valentine gift, even tho he is no longer here. The love is beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time.
