Here’s What I Know

Here's What I Know                                                                       source

Hello everyone! I know it’s been a while since I last posted, and I have to be honest with all of you, it’s a little hard to know what to say. I thought I would just write about what’s been on my mind lately, just to say here’s what I know. So without any further ado let me begin my nonsensical blather!

Here’s what I know: I know that I am crazy, silly, super excited about Christmas this year.

I have been waiting to decorate since the first of November!

I’ve spent hours dreaming up all sorts of ideas for making new ornaments, wreaths, Christmas vignettes and about anything else that pertains to the Christmas holiday.

Here’s what I know: My oldest son from Alberta is coming for Christmas with his three children again and my youngest son is flying in from Alaska!

Now you know why I’m crazy, silly, super excited.

Here’s what I know: We have had snow here in Northern Ontario for over a week and a half, so it is pretty much a guarantee that our Christmas will be a white one.

Here’s what else I know: I have a Christmas gift give-away planned. I will be posting about it very soon so be sure that you check back in the next few days to discover what it is.

No, it’s not a $1000. gift certificate. Nor is it a $100. gift certificate. But it is something really cute and I think you’ll like it!

Here's what I know

And lastly, I know I that I would give my eye teeth to see a real and live Snow Owl. Maybe even my wisdom teeth to see any kind of a real owl.

I warned you this would be nonsensical stuff!

Have any of you ever seen a Snow Owl before?

Because I think that they are one of the most beautiful birds that God has ever placed on this earth. I even bought one to place on my Christmas wreath this year.

Sadly ladies, that is about all I know(for now). I hope you won’t hold it against me! Leave a comment to let me know that you remember me….

  3. So nice to see an update. I am so glad you are excited for Christmas and your boys will be there with you.
I saw a snow owl once. I was at my cousin’s house in Oregon. They lived way out in the country and they had woods on their property. I was out exploring and one flew into a tree above my head and I just stood and stared at it. I have never seen another one. I hope you get to see one.
I love your pictures. I am so happy you have snow.
    Thanks for the update.

  5. It’s always great to see a post from you! I’m just about as excited about Christmas coming as you are. But maybe not quite! How wonderful to have your family coming in from afar to celebrate with you. So much fun with the grands.
Lots of crafts, stories, and playing in the snow will help keep them occupied! I envy you the snow now – I keep hoping, hoping, for some of the white stuff to fall. We had frost last night so at least the temperatures are going down a little.

  7. Hello Kim. It is good to see your post here. We all remember you my friend. Sometimes life just takes us away from blogging and that can be a good thing sometimes. I love the site of a beautiful owl too. I have seen a few through the years and they are beautiful creatures. I hope you see one up close someday. Glad you are excited about Christmas and decorating and having your kiddo’s all with you. It will be fun. This time of year goes so quickly so enjoy every minute.

  10. How could I forget you? I begin each morning looking at your lovely handiwork! Well I did wonder where you ran off to, but in the spirit of allowing blogging buddies to blog without obligation. There may be a few who would say that I have poked them. I poke about two a week starting with the truly tardy. You just took most of November off.

No wonder you are feeling excited with all the kids who are coming! Have so much fun with your preps and planning!

  11. OH, your kids are coming for Christmas!! That is really exciting Kim. So happy for you. We are going to visit our daughter and family in Calgary at Christmas!! Yippee. Can’t wait. It is fun decorating and getting ready for the season but I’ve held back a bit more this year with the decor and did mostly a wintery theme so I wouldn’t have a lot of Santa and such to put away when we get home in January. I even did a 4 foot tree this year! So much easier. Have fun with all your preparations for the grandkids. I’m sure it will be a busy but exciting time for you all. Pam

I’m so happy that you are flying to Calgary for Christmas with your daughter and her family-so exciting!
I don’t do a whole lot of decorating at Christmas anymore, but with the grands coming I will definitely
be making ornaments with them and more Christmas cookie baking. I have to keep them occupied somehow!
      Blessings-Kim
