Downton Abbey Movie and A Giveaway

downtown abbey movie and a give away

I’m back , ladies, to tell you about a Downton Abbey Movie and a give-away.

Is anyone else out there missing Downton Abbey right about now besides me? With the new year fast approaching I suddenly realised that this is going to be the first new year in six years that I can not look forward to a new season of Downton Abbey.

Oh my gosh, what’s a woman to do?

It sure didn’t help that last Sunday on PBS they had to remind me of how much I was going to miss it by airing a program titled, “I Miss Downton Abbey”. I enjoyed the show. There were several behind the scene out takes that I had not seen on the other Downton Abbey specials. The real icing on the cake was when Allen Leech (Tom Branson) hinted that there just might be the possibility of a Downton Abbey movie in the horizon. Can you believe it? Have you heard this already?

I quickly investigated and found that this is indeed the case. You can read the details for yourself here.  So who knows, possibly in 2018 we may all be catching up on all the happening at the Abbey. I hope so!

Now for my give-away. I have three items. A cute gnome pillow cover, a gnome decorative tea towel and a Christmas book. You can enter my drawing by leaving a comment, and if you haven’t already subscribed to my mailing list, I would really love it if you would do that too! You do not have to be a blogger to enter, but it is only open to those people living in Canada or the US due to the high shipping rates. Sorry…

Here is a closer view of the pillow cover. The drawing will be on Monday, Dec.12th. So hurry to enter, my friends!

  1. I am sure we are all keeping our fingers crossed for a Downton movie. In the meantime, if you haven’t already seen it watch The Crown on Netflix, season 2 has already been commissioned for next year and it is brilliant!

  2. A Downton Abbey movie would be a wonderful thing! I’ll echo the above comment and say that The Crown is a wonderful production as well, although I don’t think there’s much that can match DA.

  3. I’m in withdrawals with no Poldark until season 3 airs and I have no idea when that will be. So, a Downton Abbey movie sounds pretty good.

I’m still working on my post for Monday for Creating Christmas – I guess I need to take photos!

    The pillow is adorable!

  4. I’m raising my hand because I too, miss Downton Abby. I’ve seen in some stores, Downton Abby items, like coffee cups and even a calendar. All make me miss it more.

Oh yes, I’d like to enter and try to be a winner.

  7. Unlikely that I will care about a DA movie unless they can step on it. If they could have had it together for 2017 maybe, 2018 is pushing it. I sound like Scrooge! Ha! Oh a party! I love those.

  8. Hi Kimberly, I just opened this email this morning so hope I’m not too late for your draw for this beautiful gift package. I love the gnome pillow cover! How cute. I haven’t heard about the Downton movie but it would be awesome if it was the same actors in it. I think it wouldn’t be as effective if they chose different actors from our ‘friends’ that we are so used to! It’s snowing here today and the wind is picking up so not a nice day. Have a great week! Blessings, Pam
